Following Universities in top 10 under the UVSS
Scholarships offered by :
1.) Nottingham University >> One scholarship offering 50% reduction in tuition fees, Nine 25% reduction in fees Scholarships.
2.) University of Warwick >> £3000 per annum towards fees.
Cost
Average tuition fee
Arts: £6,250 – £7,650
Science: £6,500 – £9,700
Clinical: £6,960 – £18,000
Living costs/pa: £7,000 – £8,000
Entry requirements:
1. Most accept the Indian School leaving qualifications.
2. Minimum marks vary but expect avg marks as 60% and above.
3. Consider extra-curricular activities, part-time work ex and quality of application. Personal statement and references are very important.
I. Post-graduate Study
Types of courses:
1. Certificate, Diplomas and Conversion courses: these are specialist courses. Conversion courses act as bridging courses for students who do not meet the minimum qualifications.
2. There are two types of masters courses offered i.e. Taught and Research.
Taught Masters courses constitute of lectures, seminars and classes. Research Masters courses involve a research into a single topic and a submission of a dissertation thesis.

4. M. Phil and Ph.D prog
Duration of Post Graduate Courses
1. Certificates and Diplomas: a few months upto nine months
2. Taught Masters: one yr
3. Research Masters: two years
4. Ph.D: Three yrs onwards
Application procedure
There is no centralised system of application for postgraduate courses. Each institution has its own application form which is available from the institution itself or their website. Most courses begin in September/October every yr and some in January/February. Research based courses may follow a different time table which can be obtained fro the institute.

Entry Requirements:
Most institutions normally require and equivalent to a British first degree in a relevant subject for entry to a PG Diploma or Master’s degree. Some courses in many subject areas will accept graduates from other disciplines and no prior specialist knowledge of the subject. In some cases however, relevant experience maybe required. The MBA degree requires 1 – 3 yrs of work experience which should have been obtained after a bachelor’s degree. Some institutions may also ask for a GMAT and IELTS score. Your personal statement and references that are provided with the application form are very important in the admission process. For research courses, institutions will look for an outstanding academic record. Students will have to submit a research proposal and have a good master’s degree. Ph.D student are usually registered for an M.Phil in the first instance.
